Integrating Conventional Medicine with Holistic Therapies

HOLISTIC APPROACH

We provide conventional and holistic veterinary care to your pets, focusing in preventative health, pain and chronic disease management and improving sports performance.

We offer a comprehensive range of traditional first opinion veterinary practice services to registered clients, always with a commitment to using Natural Medicines whenever possible.

We combine Acupuncture, Laser and other Complementary Therapies alongside Conventional treatments in a non-clinical environment. We know how important it is in the healing process that our patients and their human companions are comfortable during the treatment and the practice has been built up around this concept.

We also take Referrals for Acupuncture and Laser treatments from other veterinary practices.

HOW DO THE INTEGRATED THERAPIES WORK?

Homeopathic Remedies work using the principle of “treating equal with equal” with the administration of highly diluted and energised  substances that  create an artificial disease similar to the natural one suffered by the patient that boosts the body response towards the original natural disease. Homeopathy is a gentle way of healing that can safely be used for every day problems in many cases, resulting in healthier animals that will respond better to future diseases. We use Homeopathy as part of our "Tool Box" for treating disease.

Acupuncture is part of the Chinese Medical System that has been successfully used for thousands of years; it improves the blood flow and influences functions regulated by the Autonomous Nervous System by stimulating carefully selected points of the body’s Meridians. It is particularly useful as part of the management of the “old age” musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, hip displasia or paresis, and in the management of chronic disease. It can also be used in many acute conditions.

Low Level Laser Therapy is a more modern therapy which promotes healing by using the power of light to enhance energy production at cellular levels resulting in faster healing and pain relief in a wide range of conditions. It can be used to stimulate acupuncture points as well.
